We're looking for a heavy equipment journeyman to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment, either in our well-equipped shop or through our mobile service unit. This is a fast-paced environment that requires a strong work ethic, a dedication to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on heavy equipment (Mostly on highway)
• Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
• Troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes of equipment failures
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to efficiently diagnose and repair problems (Insite/Davie/DDL/ET/ServiceRanger etc.)
• Collaborate with parts department to ensure timely access to necessary parts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Document all repairs and maintenance performed on customer equipment
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety by following all company safety protocols
• May be required to perform test drives and road assessments

Requirements:

• Red Seal Certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent provincial certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) without assistance
• Valid driver's license

Shift Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday
• Overtime will be expected to finish time sensitive tasks if needed
